Are you calling me a neocon? Because if that is the case then you are very far off.

Do you know anything about Nostradamus or better known as Michel de Nostradame, a renown scientist of his age who cured the Black Plague, wrote encyclopedias of herbal medicines, and was one of the best astrologers of his time? That sounds a lot like a fruitcake doesn't it? Before you make judgement of a man you should first learn who that man is.

People have been believing his predictions have been coming true since he was alive in the 16th Century so this isn't any 20th Century self-centered mindset. In fact both Napoleon and Hitler used his writings as propaganda to show that they will be successful. They edited out the parts where they lose in the end though. Centuries of people have believed Nostradamus' predictions so this isn't some neocon conspiracy theory. His writings have been the most printed books in history and most widely read books. There have been more books on his books than any other book or subject in history.

Actually, he is better known as Nostradamus, I'm afraid.

I meant during that time period when he was alive. He took the Latin name of Nostradamus to hide his identity at the time and protect his family. He believed he was on a mission from God to warn future generations of what was to come.

Plus if you look up Nostradamus you get a thousand things on predictions. If you look up Michel de Nostradame you get the man himself for the most part.

Could you post a link to a good website containing his predictions? I wanna read more!

Anyways, in the end who cares about anything anymore, as according to the bible code we'll all die next year anyways

Actually, our relegion says that no one can predict the future... And that means no human, even if they were right, they're lying. There's a verse in the Qur'an that says so. We only believe in those signs I mentioned earlier because they were all mention in the Qur'an.. But other than that, nope, we do not believe anyone......

Just pick up his book Centuries. I'm not sure if there is an actual website that hosts his entire book because it was a really big book and there might be copyright issues in doing so.

Actually the Bible says that too. Anyone saying something differently hasn't finished reading it yet, and is an antichrist. And yes, the Bible speaks of many antichrists, not just one Antichrist. You have to read some of those smaller epistles to learn that though.

Yes, that is why many Christians believe that Nostradamus was a crazed Jewish Sorceror.

Now here's a thread I wish I had seen earlier...

Rather than vent, I'll just say that while I'm not a card carrying member of the ACLU, I'm going to go with Mortaine's assessment of the situation.

Religious beliefs are great for providing sets of moral codes for societies and individuals to live by, but that's as far as I'm going to take them. No one should have there Bible or Qu'aran taken from them, but all the same, an athiest shouldn't have to pray to a 'God' in the pledge of allegience. The day that the religious folks give the non-believers respect instead of a cold shoulder, is the day they'll receive the same treatment from us.

And seriously... I beg of thee, oh non-leftists... get your news from somewhere besides Fox 'News'... it's just scary when you read up on what's behind the scenes over there. I'm not saying read the New York Times... you don't need to get drenched in liberal bias either, but please, find a decent source before you get riled up enough to start a Crusade.
