One thing that has occasionally bothered me about roleplayed sex is the ignoring or ignorance of female anatomy.
TMI coming up:
No part of the penis will ever enter the uterus because the cervix is on the way. So if someone wants to rp rough sex, they could say that the head of the penis hits the cervix, but it shouldn't go past it because unless the woman is giving birth, the hole in the cervix is very small and doesn't expand even while poked at, and since Cantrian women never give birth, this hole will always be smaller than any parts of the penis.

Oh crap! Dead man walking...
Please don't take that out of context, you know what I meant. I hope! That wasn't what I was saying (See point one!)... *sighs and shrugs*
I really didn't think that one through, did I?...

You know, that's actually a good question. Should "hermaphrodites" be allowed? This isn't the first time I've heard of someone playing one in game. Hermaphroditism, as defined by your biology textbook DOES NOT EXIST in humans. Intersexed conditions do, but "herms," as they're also called, exist only in fiction, especially present in porn, are women who for some reason acquire functioning male genitalia while retaining their functioning female genitalia. This has never happened outside of such stories. Like I said the closest thing to reality is intersex, which covers a lot of possibilities for those wanting to venture out of the strict male or female sexes. Also, it's worth noting that people who are intersex are VERY offended by the use of this word to describe them.
Just a side note, transwomen do exist, those who are born physically male but whose gender is female. But if someone were trying to play one of them, calling her a hermaphrodite would be extremely offensive as well.

I think this might have just outed one of your characters lol!

Re: battle of the sex's "sexs"
Historically, my spread has been 50/50, and my females are the ones that personally interest me the most.
I'll be the first to suggest that the player/character dichotomy is not necessarily as clear as the people in this thread are making it. Yes, the vast majority of the time, it's very clear, but I've been in situations where the stars and circumstances have aligned in a way where confusion has arisen over how I feel about a player based on my character's feelings, leading me to become more familiar and comfortable with a player than would be warranted strictly by our ooc interaction, and form assumptions of their personality based on character interaction. RL gender has never mattered.
Back to the main topic at hand: The issue raised is a huge issue in Second Life also. SL is composed of both roleplayers and normal folks extending their normal selves into a virtual world. I've found that the former have no issue with RL gender, while the latter take huge issue with it. It's a completely different mind-set, one that many "normal" people simply don't understand. My assumption is that TsukuneAono may be relatively new to this type of game, and that if he/she sticks with it, their attitude will evolve with the understanding that only a true role-player has.

This piqued my curiosity so I did a little research and found this:
http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/top ... phroditism
According to the Encyclopedia Brittanica, "In humans, hermaphroditism is an extremely rare sex anomaly. A true hermaphrodite is an individual who has both ovarian and testicular tissue." There's a lot more scientific jargon in the article, of course, but it seems to point to the possibility that these people do exist, just extremely rarely.
On your original question, Tsukune Aono, I also play both genders. Some of mine are in romantic relationships and I couldn't care less about the gender of the player behind the characters mine rp with in intimate scenes any more than in casual or business scenes. My character's feelings are what drive the story, not mine.

Have played many variations... physically male, female, hermaphrodite... psychologically straight, gay, bi, trans, asexual, antisexual, sex addict, and more.
But generally and historically my ratio tends to be 2/3 male to 1/3 female or so, for whatever reason.

Re: battle of the sex's "sexs"
Mine is about like saztronic.. 2/3 male and 1/3 female. I used to like to get to know players or of character, but I met a few that caused me to decide against it and now I prefer to not know anything about the players behind the characters. It just complicates the game and introduces bias.

I have no idea what you are talking about! As I am sure I'm not the only person who have had such experiences before :p

I did find that hilarious, though. Guess I can be a bit of a troll sometimes when it comes to roleplay sex scenes. From being exasperatengly quick to stare nonchalantly at the ceiling while murmuring the shopping list whilst at it, depending on the character, its gender and the current mood and situation.

I am guilty of this as well depending on the situation.
