OOC Cantrian History

Postby Hannibal The Imbecile 15 » Wed Oct 11, 2006 4:56 am

I'm not sure if anybody has thought of this or done this yet, but I thought it would be a great idea for everybody to get together and publish a detailed timeline/history where every war/ large occurence could be documented. I know it is a little.... 'unorthodox' but if the admins permit it...

I suggested it a few months ago, but it got shot down under the pretense that history should be written by only the characters who experieced it, not the players behind it.

Also, if a society is brought up knowing something about history, while it turns out this is actually false and people just told them how it happened, there would definately be a possibility of people using this OOC knowledge to bring down governments they dislike.

In short, I was told no, and for good reason. However, if all in game histories were published to the wiki...

The wiki is not the place for such things. Any in game history posted to the wiki will be deleted. Game history however can be published on the forums (most important events have been at some point), or through the webzine.

The Webzine is preferable to the forums (as we allegedly have readers who don't bother with the immaturity of the latter). It will also be more respectable in that medium. ;)

Anyway, you can either be creative or impartial with it, hopefully with a strong focus. Just make sure the events have passed and the quality of the writing is credible.

Again, webzine@cantr.net is the email address. We direly need submissions for Issue 8.
