*Is a proud father* My daughter has started building stuff with the few legos that she has and the other day she wanted to get more and asked me to help her build stuff. Now this is a real good chance for me to have something the both of us can do for ever.

Or I hope. Of course once she gets older she will not want to play but hey, I am hoping I am wrong.

Maybe she will go on to join cantr one day...

My four brothers and I (and very occasionally one of our sisters) used to spend HOURS every day in the basement with our legos, building, fighting, breaking things...we had so many legos we had to do them in shifts--Castles for a few months, Space for a while, Town for a little bit, Undersea for a spell...I'd say there's well over a hundred thousand little lego bits in my basement at the moment. I finally gave all my Legos to my little siblings when I left for college.

Sigh.

I begged and begged for the Star Wars legos (begged the company, I mean) and when I heard they were finally coming out, I was ecstatic. Little did I know that it meant DOOM for lego enthusiasts.

I miss the old lego systems--the way old space systems, the pirates, the foresters and castle people from the late 80s...

lego was a colossal addiction for me as a child, and like Jos, I had a town system with my brothers, though it was never quite as developed.

I wanted to be a lego master builder when I grew up, and these links brought it back.
