Capital Rule Clarification

Postby swymir » Fri Nov 18, 2005 11:02 pm

Now I know that replicating a note over and over in a short time just to be annjoying is considered a capital rule breech, but what if your character was locked up for 15 years. Would it still be a CRB if they spent their entire time writing the same thing over and over?0

I didn't know it was a CR breach; I'd certainly count it as a breach of the largely unwritten "be considerate" rule, though.

Anyway, I agree that there should be times where notebombing can be considered legitimate character behavior. If it's RP'ed properly, it's just another character action.

If these were not written all at the same time, but slowly, over these fifteen years (and not numbering the hundreds - double digits perhaps), I think it would fit the situation and not be considered a breach.

Other opinions?

I'll steal this thread a little. :)

(maybe there should be a general sticky thread about Q's on the CR?)

This is the situation. My character has found a note, a last will, of a deceased character. My character has decided to create a monument of sorts over this passed away char.

In general : Would it be a rule breach for me to post a note or give a message to the deceased characters player about that the will has been carried out and about the memorial structure?

More specific : The will does not include giving items or aid to any other player, just keeping the deceased in memory and dedication to a ideological cause. :)

Should be perfectly fine, as long as the other player understands that he/she shouldn't let their in-game actions be affected by it - if their character was worth leaving a monument to, I'd expect the player to have a basic grasp of the CR.

*smiles and blushes* :o
So Sorry, i never knew bombarding people with notes to clean up as evidence that your character was there and being tortured was CRbreak.
My apologies now for handing out all those "Jackass and Mephistone piracy tours leaflets plus job descriptions for wanabee pirates".
*she shakes her head guiltly*
In my defense it was a while back, and a last dieing attempt for making trouble for my char's captives. After being severly slashed by many a pirate, but managed to the annoyment of all around to stay alive clinging on barely for days*she grins* and nearly died laughing to death i think.
I'll make a note, not to make a note, about making a note while having a char find themselves under the torture of any other torturous char's. :D
