Label

Postby Jinchuuriki » Sat Nov 14, 2009 9:48 pm

Yellow text after the dash, visible by storages. It would be set same as by keys, by pressing the set-a-label button, writing the text down and approving it. And what on such small labels is possible to write? Of course what is inside, place of origin of this raw material and if necessary date of the production. On burlap sack you could set name of owner, or name of company which made it.

...but only on holdable containers... stuff/etc. Otherwise you get a mess.

Or it could require a tool similar to sign changing... at least for the ground containers.

I love this idea, one of my characters wanted to start a brewery once, I would have loved to be able to sell small barrels of wine labeled with the company name.

Since Cantr seems to use the so called rules to define properties of objects, how about creating a new rule called canbelabeled or something like that, then it could be defined separately for each object type whether they can be labeled or not. So you could label big tools like pickaxes and shovels, but not small ones like needles.

Why? It would be useful if tools could be labeled, then people couldn't steal them so easily.
