Apparently I have termites on my crossbow

So one of my characters repaired her used crossbow right when repair was implemented. Took three days, you know the drill.

Anyway, I checked my inventory again today, and whaddya know? It's 'used' again. I didn't know a crossbow was going to be like a baby, having to be dealt with every twenty minutes or it falls apart*.

What's the deal, yo?

I had a character repair 2 used crossbows right after repairing became available, and they only took 7 or 8 hours each (I have yet to see something requiring more than 8 or 9 hours to repair). One is still brand new, and I'd have to look for the other (in storage), but I'm sure it's still new.

Maybe it's just because you use it a lot? My character doesn't use hers at all . . . Or was she really tired when you worked on it, and it wasn't repaired as much as you thought? The times given are for "an average person."

I repaired it fully at the time. I have used it maybe a half-dozen times since then.

I get it! It's like a six-shooter in the wild west, only instead of reloading you have to take it apart and put it back together again!
