Spawning Locations--Different Lands?
Forgive the somewhat newbie question... I've got 6 characters and have been playing since December but have only ever spawned on two islands. Are there other islands out there for English speakers? I keep hearing about people in the forums who are attacked by cheetahs or have killed elephants but haven't found a land yet that has these animals. Are these mythic lands ones I just haven't reached or are they in other language groups? I might dust off my French dictionary and have a try there, if so.
My characters are on the Karnon island and the Super Huge Island with Siom, etc. All of my characters have maps they found but nothing that says they know the location of other islands. I keep hoping, each time I create a character, that I'll end up somewhere entirely new. But I don't want to do a suicidal spawn just to find an interesting area. I know that's BAD! That's why I have only 6 characters so far.
So, will I get to these places eventually or will my English speaking characters continue to spawn on these two islands only?

Well that didn't work. Grr. I'm about three towns away from another of my characters. Don't worry. I'll play him out.
But from what I've read so far there are more than just those two islands?
And on an entirely separate train of thought... Does anyone delete out the ancient posts from time to time? I really only read the first page of two at each forum. I can't see ever going back 10 pages to look up something. Is there someone who moderates these kinds of postings? I mean, I'm sure some of these posts have been 'answered' or 'solved'--like tiredness issues, jewelry issues, clothing issues, etc. Aren't there some that are out of date and could be, er, archived?

As I understand it, there's an entire world out there, though it's random which bit you start in. I've been pretty lucky, and only two of my five characters are close geographically. Sooner or later, you'll happen to spawn somewhere new. Like a lot of the game, really - it all comes with time and patience.
As for old forum posts, it can be quite handy to keep them all as they are so people can find things with the "search" function. If it's not on page 1, then it's essentially archived anyway.

Start a french character! 100% odds you'll spawn on an island you've never been to.

Be careful what you wish for, you could end up on the Aki island.
ON a side note, one of characters has co-discovered a land so new the resource team hasn't caught up with it. No roads, animals, or resources. Such a sad, empty place. Well, empty except for the "We were here, where the heck is everything?" notes.
Hmm. There are two of us on our ship. Could we be causing some poor schleps to spawn there whenever we check a new place out?

Could sailors sail to other language lands? That would make for an interesting experience.
You step off the boat. "Hello, I have journeyed far and wide. Does anyone have some food for a starving sailor?"
A man in his twenties says, "Was ist das wansig Mondsprache!"
You blink, confused.
