I'm pretty sure the answer is no, but are there any way a player could somehow get a copy of the notes one of their chars was holding when they died, sent to them via any means? Or even just the notes from two envelopes they were holding?
I'm just regretting I wasn't storing some of one char's history out of the game somewhere now, is why I ask.

Well, I don't think there's anything against it. It's just a matter of someone having the time and ability to do it.

Re: Dead notes?
It will be problematic, since the objects are dropped upon death there is nothing linking a character to the previously held objects any more. If you know the title of the note or some rather unique words in the content it could be searched for in the database. But this is nothing we will do on a regular basis, since it is time consuming.

The best way to acquire them is find out ooc who picked them up after the character died.

Re: Dead notes?
I know a couple of players that may be able to recover them, but I don't know who currently holds the notes.
The primary one that I want is "Fiona's Diary". Hopefully this won't be too tricky, I don't recall seeing many Fionas around in the game. I also want her spawn date, which I can't remember if it was in there or not.
The others I don't have the exact names for and aren't quite as important, so it is probably best I try and work with players. But if anyone is interested or has easy access, they are:
* The note detailing the meeting between Fiona and "Dell" at Burgeo
* The note detailing the meeting between Naedell, Spider, and Fiona at Keldorn
* The last message from Kosha Winters to the Vel Norians ( Technically from Viola's past, but Fiona was deeply inspired by reading it )
* Maybe the most recent Firecam Hiring Pamphlet and the most recent FCI - Keldorn Priorities List
* Of course, anything else that seems particularly interesting or historical is always appreciated but at this point I can't think of any others specifically.
Anything at all is much appreciated, but her diary is the one I really really want, even though she hadn't always been good keeping it up to date, having to backfill things from memory.

Oh duh, thanks.
That wasn't the only reason I wanted the diary, but that helps.

Re: Dead notes?
Perfect, as it turns out I am friends with that player. Thank you so much!
And I can't think of a better living char to have them, so I'm glad it turned out that way. Thank you for any part you may have played in ensuring that she wound up with them.
