Best location you've seen?

Postby Antacid » Wed Jul 26, 2006 1:00 pm

I'm just curious, for all you explorer types, what's the best location (resource wise) that you've come across?

The best one I've been to has both limestone and hematite, but that's it. I wonder if there is a location with all three: limestone, hematite, and coal/gas... anyone seen such a place anywhere? That place would be all set!

I wonder what the best location in Cantr is, in fact. On some far off island... maybe some place has limestone, hematite, coal, wood, carrots, rubber, magnesium and onions or something.... the ultimate location

So how about everyone else? Describe the best location you've seen

I don't think i've seen the best location yet.

But i've seen a few weird ones.

For example.

A location with 10 different resources.
And only 7 resource slots.

Not anywhere on Burgeo....not ever...never...I hate Burgeo....stupid animals....
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

I guess I tend to play the place rather than playing the wiki, so anywhere is just fine for me. Different places lead to different strategies.

Brunoi as a region is a pretty interesting mix to me.

Yup. Just logging in now..

Stone, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Apples, Barley, Sorghum, Limestone, Hemp, Daisies, and Hematite.

How many people are there you ask?

None. Except Tom Mitzar, my character.

In fact, he left to get some coal. There were three people in the town. My character travelled a bit, went off-course to explore, four towns away, got almost killed down to 80% health from animals and found no other Cantrians..
Came home, all excited, and found all three of his friends DEAD on the ground... He's suidical.

Not to mention the animals are right now:
5 rabbits, 11 horses, 6 cows, 4 raccoons, 1 cheetah, 4 sheep, 4 elephants, 5 kangaroos, 3 dogs, 11 lemmings.
I mean, it isn't bad compared to nearby places - which just have horrificly high numbers of animals. It's terrible. There are heaps.

Worst of all, he can't hurt them. He has a bone club and he's heavily injured. Until he gets some healing foods, he's in risk of his own life.
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."

I know of a place with limestone and hematite on Aki, but I've never actually been there so I don't know what else theyv've got. It's pretty close to another town with coal though...almost seems unfair, considering my other chars who would have to walk from one end of a continent to the other for those things.

The game is not all about resources, and if you think it is... your the kind of player that ruins this game for those who bother to RP.

On Surly's note, yes, the chars make the place. One of my chars was a traveller, but found this place with wonderful chars in it and stayed there.

It seems like a lot of the newer islands have got some very nice resources though. It should be interesting to see what kind of goverments eventually develop there, once the animals are finally got down to a reasonable level. Maybe we'll actually see some of those location-spanning empires everybody seems to want. (Though on Aki that will only happen over my char's dead body...empires are given to evil acts like locking storage buildings, and that kind of tyranny will never be tolerated. :D)

My char stayed in Zuzi many years ago because of the characters there... Zuzi is a shadow of that place now. Despite the notable efforts of the Church there, it has deteriorated into one of those places filled with nonconsequential newspawn chatter, and no/little decent RP.

It's a shame how that seems to happen in so many places... :(

stone, potatoes, apples, mud, rainbow trout, hemp, daisies, hematite, garlic, salmon, basil

11 resources and 7 spots. Same animals as N-Aldwitch said, but not as many as we can keep ours under control. =D lol.
