Steel fur scraper

Postby Hellzon » Sat Jun 10, 2006 11:42 am

You know, some advanced people might want to be able to make "primitive" clothing without having to maintain a rotting fur scraper. So I suggest a steel fur scraper. Works just like the existing bone fur scraper, but doesn't rot as fast. Something like:

Steel fur scraper
Construction:
- 30 g wood
- 30 g steel
- takes 2 days
Rot per day:
- 30

(taken from the knife)

Initially, I didn't like the idea, Hellzon.

However, I thought about it. When you are a professional in the Tailoring business (though I'm not), you wouldn't want a constantly-crumbling bone fur scraper, it looks so unprofessional anyways. Besides, fur scrapers are used a fair bit, and people in the Cantr World and OOC are sick of having to repair so much, so this would be a nice alternative. One change I'd make to your suggestion is that it uses Iron...

Nice thinking. :D

I also agree with this. While it's not that hard to make two of them, so that when one is repaired the other is in-use...something a bit more durable would be lovely for full-time tailors.
