Multi leveled Manufacturing menu

Postby Crosshair » Wed May 10, 2006 6:38 pm

I was thinking it would be easier to sort more things into tiers like on the vehicles page

Boats
Cars
Bikes
MPVs

To make things easier to do...

Furniture

Resting objects
Storage objects
useful objects

Weapons
ranged Weapons
Bladed weapons
Bone weapons
Blunt weapons

If you mean sorting it still on the same page, like clothing is done, me likey.
If you mean adding an extra page, basically going Manufacturing menu -> machinery menu -> cooking machines menu, prepare to repel people with slow connections. ;)

/Hellzon - generally pleased.

What does it matter if a weapon is bladed or blunt or ranged when there's no difference between them? There should be.... like bows not being usable indoors but you could hit people on the road from a distance where short range weapons are useless. And blunt weapons could be for crushing and hitting people unconscious and training while you should be perfectly capable of killing yourself with a knife. Wrong topic I know... just felt like saying it.

I just meant so it was easier to find what you were looking for instead of trawling through things...

A more useful distinction might be:
Primitive weapons (bone club, bone spear, stone axe)
Wooden weapons
Bronze weapons
Steel weapons (are there iron weapons?)
Shields (that category is a stub as is, anyway)

...and of course rename the categrory "Weapons and protection"

But that can be fleshed out when we knoww if this is even possible.

What I find most confusing to navigate through is the semi-finished products. There is too much jumbled all together in there. Tools are sometimes hard too, as some go by what they're made of, and others don't. That list is getting very long.
