New icons, old icons...

Postby Razorlance » Mon Mar 13, 2006 6:05 pm

I access Cantr at home as well as at work, at home all the new character icons appear correctly, but at work only some of them appear. For instance any travelling ones have the new icons, but any in a town have the old icons, (the ones which lasted about a week or so). I've tried changing my characters' location in a town, i.e. one outside went indoors, but it still changed to the old icon for indoors and not the new one. I'm not overly concerned about this, just confused. Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be your browser cache. Which browser do you use?
If its explorer you go to Control panel, internet options and click on delete files in the temporary internet files. On Firefox its tools, options, privacy and then click clear cache.
Hope that helps.

Thanks, it was that, and I thought it might be something to do with the cache but the fact that some where new icons and some were old just confused me. I had already tried deleting all picture files from the cache which didn't work and it only worked when I was actually on the character page and then refreshed it after deleting all files, even though it asked me if I wanted to delete offline content when I first tried deleting all files when I was on the forums.

Yep, I write the occasional website and I've found that myself...and for some reason it doesnt always seem to follow logic. Glad it worked :D
