Whispering through doors

It is possible to whisper with people who are not next to you. It's possible to whisper to a person on a docked boat or vehicle. I think this is ridiculous. You need to get close to a person to be able to whisper something in his ear. If you can't get close to him, you will either have to speak out loud or hand over a note with your message written on it.

I have searched for this suggestionm, but could only see this thread: http://www.cantr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3695 where people complained they could not whisper form a vehicle to someone not on that vehicle. That has changed since that discussion occured, but I think it would be good to change it back.

In real life you can walk up to a parked car and whisper to the driver.

technically in real life there are no rakers. not boats, anyway.

I like that you can whisper on boats, and I also like the idea of being able to whisper through doors

Maybe not whisper throuh a door but shout. So we could shout in the location, and people will hear it in every building.

Shouting (and variations, such as town bells or horns) has been suggested, shouting without special equipment being more or less rejected because of the potential for newspawn abuse.
