Seafaring

Postby Pie » Fri Aug 05, 2005 6:31 pm

lo and behold.. i am making a post.

i would really like to sea more choises with boats.. being able to Hoist up flags (witch could be used as signals) and being able to paint your sails(witch.. i know we don't have) with insignas.. but most of all.. i would like new boats available.

i know we have a galion.. a longboat.. a Rickshaw.. a darter.. a dingy.. a dougout canno.. a ferry..a raft.. a sloop.. a rowing boat.. i think thats it.

but what about a yaght? a Merchantman.. a corvet(yes.. it is a ship)a flut.. a xebek..a ketch..the sloop of war..a third rate ship of the line(yes.. real)schooners(large and small) and a heavy frigat.

basacly what i want is more ships to be available to us cantarians.

OMG! You got the title spelled correctly! And not very many typos in the text either. I'm so proud of you! Now you just gotta remember that witch means a woman who does magic, the word you're looking for is which.

On the actual topic, using flags for signaling is a useful idea. And there should be sails and painting them would be very cool. But making new types of ships when people don't even know the difference between the old ones? I'd rather see them having descriptions... After that they might consider adding new ones.

well then.. how about a discription for boats? and aditions to boats.. like a mermaid in the front... or a bird nest thing at the top of a mast. AND flags on ships.. and on land for that matter.

Well, I like this idea of having a mermaid at the front, It could make the ship go slightly faster perhaps? Decorational values being the main objective, of course...

How does having a mermaid on the prow make a boat go faster?

Someone in resources please assure us that this is not actually the case...diamond encrustation should at best have no ill effects...

Only in the way that a crown of tulips is twice as effective as a crown of daisies (odd numbered hours being the exception)
