Platinum
A silver-white metallic element occurring worldwide, usually mixed with other metals such as iridium, osmium, or nickel. It is ductile and malleable, does not oxidize in air, and is used as a catalyst and in electrical components, jewelry, dentistry, and electroplating. Atomic number 78; atomic weight 195.08; melting point 1,772°C; boiling point 3,827°C.
So there you have it. I don't want a weapon made of this stuff lol You'd hit some one and it would get a huge notch in it.
However:
Iridium
A very hard and brittle, exceptionally corrosion-resistant, whitish-yellow metallic element occurring in platinum ores and used principally to harden platinum and in high-temperature materials, electrical contacts, and wear-resistant bearings. Atomic number 77; atomic weight 192.2; melting point 2,410°C; boiling point 4,130°C;
Osmium
A bluish-white, hard metallic element, found in small amounts in osmiridium, nickel, and platinum ores. It is used as a platinum hardener and in making pen points, phonograph needles, and instrument pivots. Atomic number 76; atomic weight 190.2; melting point 3,000°C; boiling point 5,000°C.
These two are found WITH the platinum in the ore... Maybe this can be gathered like hematite to remove those other two metals to make current weapons stronger or platinum armour! Now that would be cool
Now I've never found platinum myself or even know if you already get these when its crushed or refined.. or Whatever. but IF they aren't then I think it would be a good thing to put them in...
