The Tribe

Postby Bran-Muffin » Fri Jul 22, 2005 2:18 am

Ok, I am doing the same thing nick did awhile ago and I am asking what does everyone think of the Tribe these days? What do you all think of Rau Nick Blackrock and all of the changes that have occurred?

I spawned my first Charrie in Karnon during the "Cold war" and if they were evil then, they've only gotten eviler! Invasions of Karnon Seaside and all the fighting in the deep forest really hasn't helped there reputation, nor has the increasingly strict rules in Blackrock forest which is causing alot of refugees to head towards Karnon, giving the Republic a big propaganda vitory.

However...

So far i've only experienced the whole TBR vs. Everyone thing from the eyes of the Republic, But, i have, just today, spawned my first Charrie in the forest and she's having alot of fun, and seriously thinking about becoming a tribeswoman...

Sorry about that.

Very difficult to comment, as I am not about to give away how my charrie feels. And his are the only feelings I have.

Please be careful here folks, not to give any information about current events, attitudes, plans, etc from in the game. Very tricky discussing a subject like this, when that whole island is so volatile.

Sorry, did i breach? apologies if so, probally best if the CD edits my post for me if necassary, as i'm not really sure what would constitute a breach in this situation, and to be honest, am not really in the state of mind to care to much atm

No, I don't think so Floyd, but maybe not everyone knows all the things you put, or that others will put. I'm just worried about giving peoples charries info they don't already have. And as hard as some may try, it's often impossible to not let some things influence your chars.

Ok, asking for the views of the persons character wouldnt be giving info that others wouldnt already know. Its just the views of the character, all I am asking for is for people to make their posts much like floyds.

My characters' attitudes toward the tribe haven't changed much. Two are ambivalent, one is somewhat negative, and one doesn't know much about them but knows about the tension between them and Karnon.
I'm not dead; I'm dormant.

One of my characters made a bunch of TBR jokes to amuse her friends... Had them rolling with laughter.

TBR has a sour image. Years of bullying tactics and a hostile nature have ingrained that into every outsider's mind. Lord Nick's paranoid about Karnon, and I find that funny, considering they haven't killed a tribesman since the time of Grant. (Did they even do that then? I wasn't around as a player at that time.)

I guess I don't like TBR because I feel that there's a lot of hypocracy involved in its past (and perhaps present). Headstrong rulers who know that they do wrong. Bullies, in my opinion.

On a similar line of thought: I'd be interested in seeing what the general opinions are of Karnon, and the Imperial Republic. We got some votes on that 'most hated government poll,' they couldn't have all been TBR players... could they?
