WOOL CLOTH
Suggested a million times but this time with a poll and nothing else in the topic because I really want wool cloth and since there's never much reaction I prolly haven't made it clear enough. Do I need to start crying?

It doesn't have to be tartan. It could be plain. But woven wool cloth is different from knitted fabric, totally different. Knitted things stretch way much. If someone is wearing knitted wool pants then it looks like they're wearing thick tights. Imagine men in tights, let's hope they got long tunics. But pants made from woven wool cloth would look like normal pants.

That's called lace. It's quite thin and slow to make. If you would make whole clothes out of it, that would take a whole lot of time and not offer much protection from cold. Wool yarn is knittable because it's more fluffy than the other yarns, which are thinner because their incredients are stronger. Maybe a bit off-topic but lets add crotcheting, that uses cotton yarn.

i always thought hemp was better for ropes and macrame (i think there might be an accent on that last e) than for making clothes out of. seems like hemp anything is liable to be scratchy.
