Water?

Postby rklenseth » Thu Oct 09, 2003 3:41 pm

I was wondering whatever happened to water and what was it used for at one point? I know at one point that there were 300 grams of water in the Tircqi that was being stored by the Council.

Will water be reintroduced in the near future? And if so, what uses will there be (ex. drink, put out fires, etc...)? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

You know, I'm surprised Water isn't already a resourse. It's essential to life, isn't it? Even more so than carrots...

But I can also see why it isn't. If you had to carry water while crossing Pok Desert...
Like the beat beat beat of the tom-tom
When the jungle shadows fall
Like the tick tick tock of the stately clock
As it stands against the wall...

Water is essential to life. You can lives months without food but you cannot live but a few days (depending upon the weather; and cold weather is the worse; the colder it is the more you dehydrate; very few people know this and usually believe you can dehydrate in hot climate only) without water. There was water in the game at one point, though. The evidence is in the 300 grams of water in Tircqi.

Perhaps, water should be added, though. Open up a whole new business. :D If you weren't near a lake, you would have to build a well to get to water. Maybe this could lead to rivers and creeks being added to the game. :D

It would add a whole new dimension to the game, as food is currently not a real issue with the ease you can get it

What is, Kroner? I can see a couple of angles from that sentence that could be considered problems. Which is it?

sorry that wasn't clear. i meant that maybe its a problem that food is so easy to get. In real life food is much harder to produce unless you turn to agriculture which is completely missing from cantr.

I agree that food gathering is a weak point to the game. I have brought this up in a different post.

The water in Tircqi is on the loose again. I know who has it. I don't beleive it is in Tircqi any longer.

Maybe Cantr folk are a race of lizard-people too and can retain water exceedingly well? Anyway, if water is to become a necessity, it should be gatherable anywhere near water, like in a road to Knatr desert, which runs along a coastline for part of its length, or carrying capacity should be increased...or possibly could be increased by carrying a lot of weight for a long time..? One of my chars had 13000 grams of iron dumped on him, that should eventually make it easier to carry more.

Okay, I'll stop ranting like a moron now
