Abusing game mechanics
1159-3: car driver (kill) says: "You might as well give up. As soon as I get back into town, I'll grab as much stone as I can hold. Then I'll come back out here and load you down with it. You'll move slower then someone wholes within an inch of dieing."
This is pretty unfair.. presumably I'd just not accept the stone, or drop it if he gave it to me, or give it back.

I do think it's a cheat. People travelling without vehicles cannot drop items or give them away, so why should people in vehicles be allowed to do that. Maybe it's difficult to program, but it's definately using a glitch to give someone dead weight to slow him down, because the game mechanics don't allow that person to drop the weight.
You should be ashamed for being proud of exploiting this glitch.

You're acting like i'm the first person to do it. And it was explain by Anthony (i believe). They can do it because they can stop and have more mobility to resume speed. Or something like that. Give me a second and i'll look it up to give an exact quote.

Well I don't see how it matters. There are three bikes in town, and i'm in my car. I doubt you would have escaped anyways. Its a long walk.
I'll be nice and not use the weight method. And this isn't me breaking any rules. Its well known information that you can do this. Or at least well known to anyone thats tried it.

There's no logical reason why a person being handed an object couldn't drop it.
As far as I understand it the way objects are handled on roads wasn't put in on purpose; there's some obstacle with the programming they haven't had the time and/or incentive to fix yet. So yes, I'd say abusing it would be considered just that, abuse.
And I remember Anthony's post, though I'm not sure what thread I saw it in. That was just his in-game rationalization of why it worked the way it did; not an "official" explanation by a long shot.

So long as he dies legitly, it's fair.
I was reporting it to avoid similar situations in the future... I had no hopes of having this fixed before your character could attempt to use it on me.
On the topic though... I thought speed was calculated at departure, and does not change as you go?
