I would like to see a new building type implemented, called the mill. This would represent a building with a waterwheel or possibly a wind mill attached.
Start with any of the normal building types of stone, wood, ext. Add a few K of wood for the waterwheel and associated machinery and an increased construction time.
Once complete, many tasks should be quicker when done on machines inside the mill. Grinding grain, crushing hemitite and many of the weaving activities could be speed up. Also, automated billows/triphammers might reduce the time required to make and shape steel. This could either be implemented using existing machines or adding new machines that could only be used in mills, ie it a grinding wheel for grinding grain. I had also heard that at one time someone was considering differentiating (sp) between wood and lumber. I sawmill could produce lumber from wood.
IRL, mills (at least prior to the steam engine) were always located on or near water so that streams could be diverted to power the wheel. Perhaps the mills could not be build in areas described as desert or the like. When we get free roam, perhaps rivers and streams could be implemented and mills would only be allowed at the edge of a stream or river...

Yes, yes, yes, we've been here before.

And I for one cannot wait much longer. Although I was thinking that any machine built inside the mill would work at an increased rate.
