Cantr Buddy List
C'mon. This would be a great idea, if it were possible. Simply download the buddy list, log on to speak to your Cantrian friends. What do you think?

Do you mean:
a) get Jos to make a program where you can instant message people you met in cantr
b) be able to remember who you've met before in cantr eg: you hcnage a man in his twenties name in to "Tom" he leaves, the player forgot him OOCly ( therefore CR breach) and Tom is gone forever. but with a "buddylist" you could see a list of people you've renamed.

Sorry, but I don't even understand your 'b' scenario. Too many grammatical and spelling errors..... Anyways, like a Yahoo Messenger, the Cantr Messenger would allow you to add a name from the forum that you might have met, with their permission, of course, and simply talk to them while they're online. Obviously I didn't clerify a single thing when I posted my first message. Anyways, it's probably not such a great idea, but I thought I'd input my opinion and see what kind of output I got from others.

I like the idea.
And, frankly, sometimes you'd just rather not do the whole chatroom thing.

Okay there may be something I'm not catching here but:
A.) There's already a place where people can list their screen names for messanger systems, on their profiles for the forum.(Which likely means if they want to chat or don't mind speaking to people from the forum, they'll have their sn's listed.)
B.) Why do we need a seperate system, if the above is true?

I agree that this seems pretty superfluous. It'd be an unnecessary drain on our resources when there's 3 different messenger clients people use, plus IRC (which does support private chat, after all), plus PMing on the forum. I really don't think a separate cantr messenger is necessary.
I'm not dead; I'm dormant.

Well, yahoo is free so I talk to all my Cantr buddies using that. If you want to talk to someone who doesn't have one of those things you mentioned just ask them to sign up for it here in a pm or oocly in character.
I agree. I don' t see a need for another way to chat. If you think all of them are hell then why add another one to the problem.
My centz,
