It would be nice to walk into a town and be able to get a feel for the mood of the town before interacting with the people there.
IRL it's possible to walk into a room or down a street and get a general sense of the people's attitudes.
The mood indicator could be an emoticon that uses input from the characters (ie click on an emoticon when you "wake up" about how the character feels that day) or determined from events taking place (ie much work, little conversation could mean contentment, etc) or a combination of the two.

Since moods are roleplayed by characters rather than set by the system such a thing would not be possible. The way you can gauge the attitude of a town is by reading their notes, listening to their public coversations and actions, and maybe someday reading their expressions (hopefully when an emote system is made).

an example recently of how I knew what a towns mood was...
My charry arrived, and on the ground among ALL the zillions of notes was a very nasty one telling the MacGregors to screw off and that the town would NEVER be taken.
that gave a pretty clear indicator of town mood wouldnt you say?
that was over a week ago, so no CRB or 4 day rule break.
