Gladiatorial Arenas

Postby Gunther_01 » Tue Apr 20, 2004 8:42 am

Another post from your good freind Gunther_01.

An Idea for gladiatorial arenas.
(Some of the ideas that i have here are stolen from other threads.)

Obviously the gladiatorial arena has to be built. Now there are many different types of arenas, ranging from the grand Colliseums of Rome to you run-of-the-mill hole in the ground. The hole would require a shovel (and maybe a bit of wood or stone for reinfocements) whereas the Colliseum would be a smegload of stone.
Holes in the gorund would have fewer spaces for people to watch from, wheras the colliseum would have heaps.
There would be two parts to an arena: a vewing platform/area and the arena itself. Whether these are reached through seperate doors or are treated as seperate rooms of the same building, i don't know. That could be worked out later.
To watch a fight you could use a window, or the room, as an object, but the selection is "Observe Fight" or something. After that you can see and hear what is happening inside the arena.
*************
You see a man in his twenties use a Saber against a man in his twenties but miss

You see a man in his twenties say:"*taunting opponent* you shall never defeat me!!!"
*************
etc.

People could take bets and whatever and i think that this would be really fun. :D 8) :D

Infact, as i think about it, this could be a really good thing for the personel development and stamina ideas to come into effect.
