invisible traveller?

there is a man on the road one of my chars recognizes. my char is in a car, the traveller, i assume, is on foot.

i can clearly see this traveller in the people tab. but if i click on the traveller, i get the page similar to a dead body's page: no descrip, not able to see which way he is walking, age...nothing.

i can not point to the traveller, because it says he is not close enough. i can not whisper to the traveller either, it gives me the error bar with an equal sign in it.

It happens when a character is marked pending but is somehow traveling. It's some sort of a bug but I'm not sure what has caused it but I've seen it once before. Edit: there are three characters like that and they were all spawned the same day, so it could be that some sort of a bug occurred that particular day.
