Psychedelic drugs?
I thought it would be somewhat amusing if there were mushrooms you could find that merely cause your character to have hallucinations and perhaps euphoric feelings. If you perhaps found some of these mushrooms and ate them, your character would begin seeing things that aren't really happening? Or even just modified descriptions of things
I.e. "You see an orange reptilian creature use some stone on building a stone cottage"
When it is simply a character building his house.
Also, you could make it so the map's color scheme changes dramatically while under the effects of these mushrooms.
I think it'd be a funny addition to the game, and would add some interesting new role-playing. Imagine seeing an unsuspecting newspawn pick up some colorful shrooms and begin tripping once he eats them? I know it would be a laugh for some people.

There is one, that I know of.
I wasn't aware of that thread, but I think this is different enough for its own thread. There's quite a bit of difference between the hallucinations caused by insomnia and being on shrooms

Well, the way I thought of it is that you'd eat it the same way you would eat healing items, if you gather a bunch of "colorful mushrooms" and eat them, you're pretty much bringing it on yourself, right?
EDIT: Also, I read back in the thread and you're right. I didn't see it was the second page and I assumed it was specific to tea.

Hey that's cool. But try no confetti, or disco ball. More colourful! ROYGBIV...

What would be simpler, is to have a resource that can be eaten, and roleplay the psycedelic effects. That would be similar to the way people handle booze, that is someone hands out the booze, people rp drinking it, and then rp being drunk. That would make it way easier to add in.
Magic mushrooms, cannabis, peyote as items.
I could imagine this would add some fun to RP, or perhaps some cultural/RP aspects to certain groups or characters.
