surpress double talks.
With very slow internet it happens to me to talk something accidentally twice.
Could you surpress talks that are exactly like the last talk one did?
I can hardly think of any game situation where one would want to say the exact same thing twice. I can hardly think of any game situation where one would want to say the exact same thing twice.

Your internet is to fast for you to notice.
Exactly, I know what they are talking about and that is a good solution. Pretty much, once you press the talk button it will not let you press it again until the page is reloaded with the new text you entered on it.
In other words, you can't press the talk button twice in a row before what you typed appears on the screen.

It's actually still fairly possible to do, if you click fast...

Indeed! I too would like a server dependant solution. I know maybe I just shouldn't play when using (the lousy) mobile internet... but still..
As player just not to click twice may be a solution. But often, you know you don't get an answer from the server, and its impulsive to just reclick the button. Actually you never know if your request came to the server and just the answer died on the inet, or your request already died. The only way to make sure were to copy your text into the clipboard and refresh. Its just so anti intuative.
One way to do it, is simply to ignore the very same message. Advantage: Easy to implement. Disadvantage may confuse players who actually out of some reason really wanted to say the very same thing twice.
Another one, with the page view, enter in the form an message id. This one counts always up, globally on cantr. If the same message id come in twice, the server knows, its a fake double. Advantage: Fail safe. Disadvantage: Yet another table in the db not really needed, server has to think more.
