LOG QUOTING IC SHOULD BE BANNED
I know I know I'm sure this been said a million times, but it just wind s me up, it spoils perfectly good rp, when people demand log quotes is even worse, it is a capital rule breach and arrrrghhhhhhhhhhhh
ITS NOT ROLE PLAY,
Intelligence and wit is what one should use, if i give my statement to the police, I cannot give a snap shot of my memory, ITS STUPID AND CHEATING AND A CAPITAL RULE BREACH, instead police take statements from all, examine evidence and make an informed decision,
Sorry but I just had to!
Rant over thanks for listening

Agreed, but sadly not considered a CRB, no matter how much it actually is.

Been there!
Freaking annoying when a character is trying to lie or "fabricate" an event then someone DROPS THE FREAKING EVENT PAGE IN A NOTE!
Not to mention when a character can't write or read, etc. Its just... earg!
OR, OR OR! Or having a character locked up and/or killed because of said event copy-pastey fail.
I've even seen doctored versions and people (players) STILL believe the person who "gave it first".
I'd LOVE to think it was "Notes written OOC; post them here". Actually I was tempted to do THAT VERY THING not to long ago.

I simply hate it. I disgust it. It makes every cell in my body cry out for blood.

They do?
And I like roleplaying injuries so much..

Some people do, I dunno when I get hit IRL I respond, not drag them off -.-. I usually RP doubling over or stumbling to the floor when hit.Caesar wrote:Ryaga wrote:IE. They think it's unacceptable to roleplay anything like injury roleplay or icly being pinned down.

I have the same problem! With lots of characters.
So I started a "hardcore" petition a while back where we wanted to have all the people who do this skinned alive by PD, etc. etc. etc. It got shot down since it would be impractical to enforce and we wanted a rule that'd be way too strict.
So have a look in the suggestion forum all you who think the same way as the OP and me, for an updated more mellow kind of suggestion I just entered. Hopefully that one can be put in there. Needs your votes to go!

How about a Special CRB Assasination Unit to enforce this?

Sum, it's because of all the numbers and colons in it - people unconsciously feel like "huh, well he wouldn't go to all the trouble to fake that, so it must be the true log". Of course you're right it's easy as peaches to fake.
Problem is, though, that making fakes doesn't solve the issue, it only aggravates it with more of these stupid notes ruining game situations.

Yeah. I got caught on the hot side of a edited log event my very first spawn. It was found out, in the end, but only because he confessed and killed himself.

Yeah. If I RP that I pass out when someone RPs that they hit me, but doesn't actually hit me, --what then?
And some people just refuse to accept RPd restrictions. Like if, say, I were to catch someone in a locked room, and then Rp tying them up, then unlocking the door, literally and physically, they could just escape, but that would break the RP, so I would consider that CRB. I think that's something that needs to be fixed, because an awful lot of restraining does go on in Cantr.
Sketchified.
