Make meat jerky usable

Ok, it's free food. So, at least, make one or two recipes that have meat jerky as an ingredient. Like:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(at tajine)
-> 500g of "Carretero Rice" (brazilian dish)
- 450g of steamed rice
- 50g of meat jerky

or

(at tandoor)
-> 350g of "Popeye Secret Meal" (yes, I have no idea about a good name)
- 400g of spinage
- 50g of meat jerky
- 45g of charcoal (or 25g of coal)

or

(at tajine)
-> 600g of "Hidden Little One" (another brazilian dish without translation)
- 450g of mashed potatoes
- 150g of meat jerky
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And why we haven't any pasta? I'd love to make spaghetti.

Another idea, is to combine pancakes with other food (just like sandwiches).

good idea for nrew foods... depending on their value..it would be good.

I would use fresh meat for those dishes, not dried meat. Using meat jerky feels unnatural.

Mincing food rations:

Meat jerky + salted carrots + flour -> lightweight, not very nutritive. You can put it in a pot to save it.

Preparing ration soup:

Food ration + a bit of water -> instant, no fuel, nutritive food.

We are currently working on many foods, both improvements to old recipes and some new ones. Feedback on which recipes are interesting for your chars (not only on a spreadsheet) would be helpful. Many of the cooking menus are quite crowded, and we are looking at ways to improve this as well, possibly by removing the small pots.

We are particularly interested in Suggestions that involve little-used ingredients (meat is not one of them) in novel combinations. Please consider what resources are available to your chars that can be used in regional specialties.
