I'm ashamed to be a Londoner

Postby formerly known as hf » Sat May 03, 2008 12:24 am

Boris Johnson

Boris, the foppish, elitist, bigoted, old etonian, twat, fuck face, bastard, cunting wanker Johnson

There I was, a proud Londoner. My home. I'm not nationalist. Nationalism is over rated. But I counted myself first a Londoner, then a European. Never Identified with 'England' or 'Great Britain'

But here I am. With Boris winning. Many of you probably don't care, or know what I'm on about. But Boris!!!

I now think I know what it must have been like to see George W. Bush II voted in as a Democrat.

Boris is not what London is about. Boris has nothing to do with London. London is a vibrant, multi cultural, fantastic, liberal place. Sure, we have our fair share of city boys, but that is not the be all and end all. Boris is a racists, a bigot, incompetent and a homophobe. That's not even the start. London is magnificent, it's home to all comers, a hotbed of unions and activism. It's forward thinking, it's not middle England.

And it certainly isn't embodied by the public school, old etonian, elitism of the Tories or Boris Johnson.

If you have no idea what this is about, fair enough. But for those who know. I hope you share my pain.

My pride in being a Londoner. First and foremost a Londoner. It's been dashed. Maybe I'm over-reactng, but I can't help feeling we'll be an international laughing stock, as with GW Bush. My head is hung, with shame.

I'm sitting here with my umpteenth pint of London Pride Ale.

London Pride, my arse.

My queer, hairy arse.

Can we expect bus lanes to be replaced with JAGUAR lanes?

I dont know a single person that voted, I asked at work last night, not one person.

Who voted for Boris, c'mon own up!

ezz, it's a pity you and your mates didn't vote, it might have made a difference, because though your individual votes might not count for much, there are thousnds of people like you, and like me, who probably didn't really think that Boris stood a cat's chance in hell of getting in.

While I'm not a Londoner myself, I'm a Mancunian exiled in Belgium, I too am ashamed that this, let's face it, internationally important post has gone to such a buffoon.

I can't remember a lot of his idiotic statements, but one I do remember was something about the Queen going to Africa, "to wave at and shake hands with the pickaninnies..." or something like that. The man is a disgrace to the city of London, to England, to his mother and to his Queen.

I think I'll apply for naturalisation (here in Belgium) - especially if the Tories get in at the next General Election.

Hey, this whole Blair thing of elected mayors was always a joke, hence the election of a monkey to represent Hartlepool.
I've always supported the Monster Raving Loonyy Party, and this is the nearest we've got to power yet.

I would have to say the whole (basically) two party election system of democracy is a joke.

Shall I vote for a kick in the nuts or a poke in the eye!

Until I get the chance to run for leader or to put a worthwhile candidate up for election, this is not a democracy but a thinly veiled republic, it may even be called a dictatorship.

I've met Borris Johnston and found him to be a nice, funny and rather capable politician, rather than the idiot he seems on television, and I tend to base my opinions on how people react to me rather than what others say. If he can handle a redhaired submissive goth wearing a collar and half a dead cow, he can't be that bigoted... But just my opinion.

A redhaired submissive goth wearing a collar and half a dead cow? Is that supposed to be you, or is there some story here I don't know about?

yes, thats him.

i dunno who this is, but with the name Boris, he is sure to be a force on the international playground known as politics.

And dont be dissin bushiekins, he did the best he could given the circumstances. I have no reason to believe that gore, or god forbid kerry, could have done any better as president. Democrats, put up someone remotely competant, and ill consider voting for them.

mccain is better, by a lot. obama is a lying cheatscate who plays to his powerbases, and clinton is only marginally better by not lying about who she plays to.

McCain

because there is no other choice :(

There were more conservative nominees out there than McCain (a lot more) but even he will be better than Obama and Clinton. At least we can get the war over with, and if he is smart (most of that time he isn't) the election will be:

Democrate

McCain
Romney
:)
