If the cantr world is round, which I will assume so, the boats will EVENTUALLY, although after a long time, reach a coast, most definately. When it does, would we be able to harvest its goods? I am very experienced in Cantr ocean travel, and I like how its so not random that basically its just math. With simple trigonometry you can measure distances and such quite easily.

If the world is round, and you continue in a straight line forever, you will hit the place you left at some stage, depending on how large the world of Cantr is.

no, you'll run into the opposite coast of the island you left.

Me neither. We are about to make that 11 boats into 12. Another treasure lost at sea.

Come on people, just work on your math ;) ... My character has found a city on another island and then managed to sail back in a straight line to the point of departure :) ... (Without, of course, using the maps I can access as admin.)

I think we'd have done fine if we had payed any attantion. As it is, we went in a straight line until the food ran out. If we were smart we would have turned back half way. Maybe there is still hope....

Actually I never had a character who planned to come back home. Ruby never wants to go home.My character that was killed in the Blojt Massacre wanted off of that island badly. Aaaand...the group that just left Bhak,I doubt they will ever come back to Bhak. I mean..they have nothing to go back for...they've got eachother.

My chars are very successful coast-hugging. Never had someone set out cross-ocean, though. Coast hugging's easy. Trans-oceanic passages? maybe not so much.

But it's something to try soon.

There are at least a few people I know of that have crossed continents and returned, one has done the trip at least 3 times now. Coast hugging is definitely where it is at west, randomly shooting out into the sea is too risky I think.

Since the Iron Drill has been renamed "Hermatite Drill," shouldn't it be just as easy to rename the cars as chariots for cars, royal chariots for limos, wagon for vans, etc...? I think it matches the atmosphere better.

Nah. I like the quirkiness of the current system.
