How about weapons as well...so you can see that I truly do have 2 sabers, and am not afraid to use them

No for the weapons, yes for the jewelery. LOL

For some weapons, that would be obvious, that'd be fine. Oh wait, for the clothing, maybe a....sword or sabre case? Or a crossbow or hunting bow holder? :?:

I have thought about some structural things about clothes.
Perhaps this is the wrong topic to post it in, but then please move it :)

Here are some features I would like to see:

* Different quality of clothing
Every individual peace of clothing has three categories:
simple / normal / fine
The difference in producing them would be the amount of time it takes to produce them. In some cases finer quality could require more or additional resources.
In the case of normal the quality isn't shown, but for the others it would be like "simple leather trousers" or "fine silk jacket".

*Colors
As natural resources, scattered over the world.
In IRL history different forms of dyes have been an important trade product. Some colors would be less usual the others, or even made by combining other resources.
When implemented with the quality it could be shown as "simple red cotton shirt" or "fine purple silk jacket".

*Ornaments (embroidments?)
The ability to ornament the clothes, like with gold/silver threads, different colorings etc.
"fine brown jacket with golden embroidments"

*Symbols (quite advanced)
This suggestion might be very hard to implement, but would in my view add a lot to the game.
If people could in some way send in symbols (like with the picture notes) to ornament the clothes we could have individualized uniforms.
Town guards, inter-regional forces like the Rangers, mercenaries and so on could design their own uniforms so that they are recognized without having to introduce themselves.
"fine green tunic with the symbol of a sun on the chest" (or perhaps it would be like a picture?)

Well, the first two are the most important one, while the last would be very interesting, but perhaps a bit hard to implement.

yes fancy scabards/quivers would be good and also be good for people that can't find a use for that pesky stuff like copper

Those are all awesome ideas--especially the quality thing. Also, the quality might diminish over time?

sammigurl61190>

Deteriorate yes, but I wouldn't like to see it go from fine to simple over time since I intended the quality to reflect design as well.

But perhaps there could be further descritopns of the clothes when (if) deteriration is implemented...like "a worn out fine wool shirt" or something.

I'd like to have jewellery and weapons as wearable also, although weapons is a bit of a tricky one to place. It would probaly be better served by having tools being able to be seen, rather than them acting in the same manner as clothes.

@Pirog - great ideas, but I don't think we can expect them anytime soon, which is a shame ;)

Scabards and quivers are a good idea also I think, but I don't think it would be easy to implement, perhaps using some kind of container, but it would have to be wearable, which makes it a little hard to decide where to put it where catergories are concerned.

(Topic Split: Don't mind the suggestions, just trying to keep the threads unentangled, and for the same reason as I put in the other thread)

The type (or lack) of clothing you wear could affect projects/travelling in certain locations.

I think there should be hand cuffs, leg irons, and straight jackets. To inhibit movement. Possibly make some actions impossible when you have them on. Like hitting, with handcuffs and straight jackets (or reduce the level). If someone has leg irons on, you can force them to labor for you but they can't move. To put them on someone would be something like dragging, you would have to get someone down to a certain level of health, but have 3 or 4 people put them on instead of two.

None of my characters are in positions of power, or would want to do this to anyone, so I would probably be on the recieving end lol

Good idea and one that has been mentioned many time before. But one more time won't hurt as it might talk the right people into programming it.

Just remember all these great things when it's time to do the top 10 again.
