back button bug

Postby Nosajimiki » Fri Sep 22, 2006 5:24 am

Okay, I don't know if this is implimentable on the technical end, but every once in awhile I'll use my browser's back key to go back to the player list instead of the button at the bottom and it doesn't stop using up minutes, then poof, I'm out of time when I come back to check what's going on, I once waisted my entire 200 minutes, minus the 10 or so I actually used playing b/c I made this mistake right before leaving for classes. I had to go almost a full 30 hours without Cantr b/c of that *shudders*. If anyone in PD knows of a way to fix it so that the browsers back button will work, or make the timer cut off if you don't do anything for maybe 10 minutes, that would save me so many frustrated afternoons/nights/early-mornings (this one included  )
#004400 is my favorite color.

Well I gues you, like me learned the hard way not to use the back button!

However I too would like to see some way that would prevent hours of complete inactivity, but being on a character page, resulting in losing all 200 minutes...

I have been told that if you freshly log in this doesn't happen but I tried that once and it didn't help!

In my opinion you are mistaken. Let's discuss. Write to me in PM, we will talk.

Yeah, just type the www.cantr.net url again and press enter, but definitely don't touch any buttons on the screen or press 'reload', because that'll eat your minutes :).

Nakranoth I've credited your acocunt with 100 minutes - It's unlikely your suggestion will be implemented - its quite possible to spend at least 60 minutes in one character

First Thank you. I really appreciate it.

Second, Yes, 60 min in one char I believe, but 60 min without pushing any buttons and still being active? I find this to be conciderably less likely... Just concider the exact implications?

Besides after 60 minutes of 'game play' would it be that hard to have to log in again?
