Thought or Rant of the day!!!

Yesterday -- Scrabble Heaven -- Our club member's annual New Year's Day Marathon -- 10 hours of Scrabble. I went 8-5 (which is actually the amount of games I was expected to win). One of our players actually managed to squeeze in 17-18 games.

RotD -- on Friday afternoon, an hour before Shabbat, our oven stopped working on bake cycle (I expect a bad thermocouple). So, my wife had to broil the chicken instead of baking it, so we'd actually have something to eat that night besides soup and salad. Saturday, my daughter throws up around 11:30PM, and that's when I discover that our dryer has ALSO stopped working.... *sigh*

This is more a problem in FTO (which I really don't know why I still play) than Cantr, but I wonder if I'll ever get to a point where my sexual (as in, not asexual) characters aren't so awkwardly clueless.

I haven't yet. I have however, picked 10 of the 15 that I will be killing and not playing anymore. We'll kill those off and we'll see how it goes.

I have been through a "killing spree" lately... in fact there's only 4 or maybe 5 chars that I would really mind to lose and I keep on suiciding every other char I create. Guess my case is different because I'm a new player (about 9 months or so), so I haven't had the time to get disenchanted yet, but... that post of yours (or strictly speaking, the tone my mind gave to that post) sounded so disappointed... is it because of boredom? is there anything that other players, other "rolers", we can do?

I am disappointed, very. But not anything that the roleplayers themselves can do. But I've been playing this game for a long long time. I'm definitely not bored, just irritated and upset at some things and when it gets to the point other people are ruining your fun by their actions or lack therof, and you're not enjoying things, there's a problem. I may very well end up unsubbing, I don't know yet. But for now I'm just cutting down my list.

I truly hope that feeling disappears, and also that those who "ruin each other's fun" will reconsider their attitude, after all this is a social game; but it'd be a real pitty losing a gamer that is not bored.
I know is not my bussiness and all of that, but after a couple of questions you made to me, I got the feeling that you're not only a player, but a role player (I'm not sure if I'm making clear what I mean) and well, I yearn for that kind of players, it's desmotivating trying to do any roleplay when all you hear around are monosyllables and the most complex interaction is a smile, so... I'm begging you and each roleplayer that is thinking about quitting: do not press that X.

17F here and the roads are f'd. In a 2 mile drive my car hit ice twice at red lights. I hate this weather, but at least i'll be able to mess with my new DSLR in new conditions.
