People are different.
The man walking in front of me had gloves on, I'm still bare legged.

That odd juxtaposition seems to suggest he was wearing gloves on his legs.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
So, apparently it's supposed to be rainy everyday through Thursday. Which means that, barring any thunder or lightning, we're going to be marching on wet, squishy, muddy grass adjusting to the topography of the ground there and thus preparing ourselves to look bad when we're on an actual smooth field come Saturday, ruining our shoes, and damaging the instruments.
It also means I don't get to drive, because apparently, even though I've had my permit for more than ten months and I've driven on I-4 and 408 in moderately heavy traffic, I'm still not experienced enough to drive in the rain or at night, even if it's to places I regularly drive. I'm still bitter about this. It really is her barring me from driving, because her nerves can't handle it and realistically I should've been driving home from rehearsals on Tuesdays (which end after dark) since the start of the school year (I drive to the school every morning in the dark).
Oh yeah, and my mom literally gave me permission to complain about how horrible she is by not letting me drive.

Yeah, it's supposed to be torrentially raining here all day tomorrow, which is horrible because it's the first night of sukkot, and I fear we won't be able to eat out in the sukkah.

Yeah, a spanish saying, written from a place where summer seems not to be aware that it must go... now!
I wish it would rain here.

It rained here! Such a powerful storm it killed my friends desktop. Even woke me up and nothing wakes me up.

I hate the summer in october (yes yes, in the north of Spain we don't have "summer" during its common months; our "summer" is in september-october). I hate it! I hate that we're at 25ºC (and yes, that's a lot for us) in autumn! THANK YOU GLOBAL WARMING!!!

One month, one month, ONE MONTH!
I wish it would rain here. It actually rained a little bit in the last week and we were all utterly confused for a few brief moments. It's times like these when I miss home.

Joining in the rain complaints!
While I don't actually mind the raining-every-day-HAH (well, honestly, why would I choose to live here if I hated rain?), I would appreciate it if the weather didn't look deceptively sunny and nice in the early morning when I'm leaving for class. I keep leaving my umbrella at home.

Yeah, I appreciate the fact there are places that are experiencing drought -- Texas, Israel, etc. but we've had 24 inches since August 1. I'm done. Really.. you guys can take as much of it as you want. Feel free to come up here and take all the rainfall that you need. (Note: "need" -- we obviously still need SOME).

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Rant: Today is a day off here in Spain, because of the "Hispanic Day", when we commemorate the day that Cristobal Colón saw American land for the first time, or something like that...
My rant is about being one of the few people -well, I guess today is a busy day for people in the army too
- who have to work today. All day.
My second rant is about the fact that, seeing how high the Spanish unemployment rate is, I must consider myself lucky.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
I went to a friend's house one-and-a-half counties over on Sunday while it was still raining, and there was standing water in the roads and in peoples' yards, and I even saw somebody riding a horse that was pulling an inner tube full of kids through the water. There were points on the road where the water was about five inches deep, and we had to drive through that. Meanwhile here it doesn't look any different from when it rains, except the lakes might be up by a few inches, but nothing particularly noticeable. The terrain there is a bit different than here; it's pretty hilly here, and we have a ton of lakes and a swamp for water to drain into, and over there it's pretty flat, and I can't say anything about whatever lakes they have.

Stupid sinuses!!!!
You guys picked a lovely time for me to have a cold, right on the week of a competition.

Re: Thought or Rant of the day!!!
Being sick suuuuuuuucks. I haven't sneezed once today, but I've been coughing and my nose has been running and I have a killer sinus headache. I can't eat anything because my nose is so stopped up that I can't swallow. I managed to drink a cup of hot tea with honey, but that took forever, waiting for moments when at least one of my nostrils cleared up enough to drink anything. I took some cough medicine around two or three, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. I took a shower earlier and, apart from the shower being bipolar forcing me to switch bathrooms, it did help temporarily. I could actually breathe and my nose was clear for seven minutes straight! Yay!
Anyway, now, since my parents are hosting their church study group, I have to be in the same room as my dog in order to keep her calm and from barking. Heh, yeah right. As soon as she heard the first one come in the door it was high-pitched, loud barking piercing my already sore ears. My headache is spreading too. I want to go back to bed, but I know my mom is going to force me to stay up and eat some chicken soup....which is fine since I'm hungry, and I've spent the most time in my room today anyway, fighting with the Internet connection on my phone (it's been moody today).
And so now that I'm on a stable connection, nothing's happening on Cantr. Wooo!
I'm going to go play with my music editing program and YouTube while I wait for the time I can go back to bed.
