I didn't, but I can imagine. Hey, on behalf of my fellow americans, I apologize for our ignorance into what qualifies as offensive in British-English (as opposed to American-English).

I think we find the use of the word "*that will not be mentioned*" as a bit too quaint and odd to be anything other than comical. But that's not how you guys take it, and we should be sorry about it.

Why did my thread create so much arguments?

I do suppose we should throw a tea party for it, too. Just to make it up to them.

What do you want? An apology? :?

Yes, I was joking and teasing you guys about talking about England so much.

I think I know what wanker means and it doesn't seem that offensive to me, just really implies that you have too much time on your hands in a naughty way, no?

But anyway, my apologiies. I wouldn't want to drive you away with my horrible insults.

I have to say that I'm just as offended as Cookie Monster. It's dangerous to throw words around when you don't know what they mean in different cultures.

On the other hand, it wasn't meant in the way it sounded, then I can forgive and forget.

But I'm more offended by Nitefyre's remarks than by the supposedly innocent remark of Kinvoya. Just lay off, Nitefyre. When you understand what the hell you're talking about, maybe I'll be prepared to take those comments from you.

Hee. Maybe they would just want to demonstrate it for me.

Why are you so sensative about this, for goodness sakes?

You can pm me and call me something really foul if it will make you feel better.

Well, I guess I've learned a good lesson about what not to repeat from British movies.

*shrugs* Offensive words are easy to forget. The patronising attitude of anyone that likes to assume things they don't understand, now that pisses me off.

But moving on... you really want a demonstration? I'm sure we can arrange something..

*puts his hands up* I meant it jokingly, and I thought the all of you would be chill enough to take it as that.

It disturbs me that it ended up like that.

Like i said before if i was stupid enough to say that in front of someone where I live, saying it jokingly wouldn't be an issue.

On the third hand we insult each other in a friendly way here all the time.

This must truely be a horrible insult and I'm very sorry for all the offense.
