Maybe later (in Cantr 2.0) some of these things about using medicines or simple good health choices would have your chances of leading a healthy long life.
But I know perfectly healthy people that went to bed one day at 60 and never woke up in the morning while I know a really nice old lady who smokes like there is no tomorrow and has been since she claims 16 and she is in her 90s now. And still is pretty healthy for someone in her 90s. So sometimes even living a healthy life isn't going to help you.
Some research believes that your heart is set to beat only so many times. Sort of programmed to just stop after beating so many times. So if you lead a healthy life all your life but your heart is only going to beat so many times and it happens to be less than most people you are pretty much screwed. That is why it is believed that smaller animals die sooner because their heart beat so much faster than humans.
That is why I want a parrot as a pet. They are intelligent and their hearts beat at about the same rate as humans (which is an abnormality in nature) so parrots usually live from 60 to 100 years in some cases (also depends on what types of parrot). So you can have an intelligent and a pet for life in a parrot. The only problem is that they are bitch to have as a pet since they require a lot of attention (they are one of the smartest creatures on Earth next to humans and require interaction with other creatures) and are very costly. Their proper bird feed costs around a 100 dollars a week and they love human food to (some of which they aren't suppose to eat so you have to be careful). So you need money and a lot of time to have one as a pet.
And parrots aren't monkey does as human does as it is commonly believed. They are very intelligent and over time actually come to understand many words and can actually carry conversations to a point. They are limited in their intelligence but not as much as most creatures.
