The only thing I can do it manually reduce the numbers.

But it not up to me to determine what is fair.

When the resource dept has a temparary plan I can execute manually.

I did drop a sugesstion on how to fix it.

Basiaccly reduce reporduction by an order of magnatude and allow the resource dept to be able to use those more fine settings.

I can't go into more detail but they basiaclly only have a few clicks on the dial all but the first one gives a ridiculaous rate.

so, food chains, combined with non-infinite resources (with the variable yields based on the amount there) would fulfil that function in a non artificial way

Mmm... I suggested sometime ago in another thread that combat be changed so that you could hit things more than once, but each character could only hit a total of maybe 10 things a day. It would help make hunting animals easier and slaughtering towns tougher.

Maybe animals should have less health. It now takes like 4 or 5 (or 6) attacks to bring down an animal like a wild boar or coyote. But maybe they should be died with 2 blows.
Or we should just do more damage to them (as they seem to do to us) and then it would also be faster to kill them.
It's him.... The Anomaly...Do we proceed?..Yes.... He is still......only human.

Mmm... I like the damage the way it is. If you want to do more damage, get a better weapon. If you want to get hurt less, get a better shield.
And if it were easier to kill them, then it wouldn't take long for them to go extinct.

I agree, if we kill them easier, they would go extinct. But now that they multiply so fast, this of course isn't the case, the humans would go extinct first is my guess. But if they the breethin goes slower the idea would be bad.

If the current "breeth programming" doens't change it would be a good idea to kill them easier, since there are now 162 cows in Sil, growing each turn, we will never be able to kill them all. I don't really object to 162 cows, but imagine that they would get agressive. Then we would be doomed. And dead.

And I also liked the damage before, to bad rabbits die so fast. I love those furry guys! And why is it they don't breeth as fast as the cows?

I may be wrong, but it looks like the animals have decreased in numbers.

They were starting to effect turn change which took over an hour to run.

Their mating rate and agressiveness (vaguely on topic) is the same as before.

So the number will go right back where it was in a few days.

While there are only 44,000 animals there is 12,000 groups of them so they are in effect still spreading.

If that doesn't help turn change then the number of groups will have to be reduced.

Away Pelicans!.....AWAY!

Now there are 5 of us (only me and one other are active) and 9 pelicans. There were 37 of them. Not to mention the 6 wolves. At least they don't attack as often. I thought we were scaring them away with the fear in our eyes. I am making a shield, but now it will take longer. Maybe with only 9 of 'them', I can get it finished before they finish me. The only weapon is a hunting bow that we share. It was looking bleak.
