You may like the present but you may not like the future. And by future I mean a week from now. The agressive animals are growing as well. I think the reason why there ae not many complaint is that the English areas with the expection of the newer island eliminated most of thier agressive animals. The non-english areas have not. The number of agressive animals there seems very high. If there were as many coyotes in Siom as people it may stop being funny.
Time for a reduction in the farming yield yet? I guess not. A few ovens have to be made in the younger places. But there is certainly enough meat now.

There are now more rabbits (3500) and cows (3360) than people.
And as far as near human population it
sparsely populated areas - difficult to say. I see 26 bears in one location. I see other mean things in on-eglish areas. Is it that it IS sparesely populated or WAS sparesely populated before then.
31,726 animals
sheep are working on outpopulating characters (3134)
Characters now in 4th behind rabbits(4168), cows(4000), sheep(3426).
Deer(2999) getting ready to pass.
Deer(3265) almost made it. But characters pulled ahead to 3300.

i have to agree with the aggressive animal statement in the new island (ie Aki one) there are starting to be problems with bears and wolves because when the most advanced weapon you have is a hunting bow and you have 20 wolves appear on 2 day's it kinda get's a bit over the top. besides which why aren't wolves and other carniverous type animal's in fewer number's by a long way then things like deer the same as in real life you wouldn't see 20 rabbits supporting 22 wolves well not for long anyway hehe

pls meh, stop this madness.
Even if it causes the game to stop for some time, this is really getting out of hand!
120 cows in Sil, multyplying each turn.
I'm now facing with 9 wild boars.
In cities I'm at boars appear... every body is running now!
....746-5: You see 5 bears arriving in**, coming from **....
That is not very stimulating to stay there.
Ahhhhhh help .... HELP!!

I would have to agree that they seem to be multiplying to fast (bigger the animal the slower they should multiply, compare rabbits and bears IRL), but otherwise it's fine with me, one of my chars almost got ate my wolves on Aki island the other day also but I'm not worried about.
The aggressive animals will give people a reason to organize themeselves other then for going to get resources and for political reasons, now there are natural "enemies" to worry about.
Plus, I think a major issue why the aggressive animals are so bad is that a char can't attack each animal, yet each animal can attack someone, just changing that would make the animals much less dangerous, although still a threat.

The prob I am facing now, is that there are wild boars, and they multiply so fast, it's impossible for me to whipe em out. If I kill 1, then 2 other will take its place by birth, or just come from surrounding area's to me.
This ain't good for me char.
BTW 135 cows now!!! Damn they now grow with 15 each turn

Yeah the combat rules defenitely need to be changed - One of my characters is in a place right now that has over a dozen bears and even though everyone has taken a shot at them with a hunting bow we have yet to kill one. Now they're multiplying again and taking swipes at us! Oh yeah, did I mention there's about a dozen horses too?
In a moment of irong the only animals that aren't multiplying like rabbits, are the rabbits. One of you programmers has a sick sense of humour
Another of my characters is also in a situation where there are numerous buffalo - fortunately they haven't turned agressive but we've had up to 40 at times.
The problem is leaving won't even let you get away as in both cases I've watched dozens of bears/buffs move intot he surrounding areas.
Let us kill faster! Or at least tweak it so the bow has a chance of one hit kills - like real life.

I don't mind the animals at all it's kind of fun to have them around the only things that is bad about them is when they are moving around, gosh, that is rather annoying especially if you are trying to have a covesation with someone.
And also, there was a good suggestion (Which i can't find now) about the animals, and about attacking them, it was something like - Instead of there being a herd of cows why not make them seperate so then you would be able to attack each one.. like
Instead of:
412 Cows
Have:
Cow
Cow
Cow
Cow
Cow
Cow
Cow
Cow
..
..
..
If you get my drift, i will try find the topic

maybe there should be a max amount of animals that can be in 1 herde.
Like:
15 cows would be:
5 cows
5 cows
5 cows
That way you can attack each herde seperatly and not each animal.
With 412 cows you would get a huge list of cows

I think listing the animals individually would be nightmarish - especially, cnsidering the current growth, with the numbers we're likely to end up with.
The real key is to set a realistic attack model that lets the people attack with a realistic real-world frequency. Ideally people should be able to wipe out all of the animals if they over hunt.
Right now we're too far the other way where it takes so long to kill just one animal that they reproduce faster than humans will ever be able to kill them.

perhaps one attack per animal in that herd?
maximum size of herd does sound good, then we can get packs of animals fighting with each other.
What we really need is a real functioning food chain. That is the natural way of maintaining balance.
We need herbivore animals to actually work on projects to collect the foods they eat, and then carnivores to attack the herbivores for the meat they need.
Dead bodies should also give meat.

Maybe me haying 412 cows was a bit OTT, just thought about getting a huge list when clicking animals, but there are other ways to get around that, they just need to be thought of..

Like cows, if there are to many cows, there wouldn't be enough grass for all of them and they would either have to leave, or they would die, and their meat and bones would end up on the floor... saves us a lot of time lolz
