Actually few pirates did that, It was much more fun to spent it in the first port with sex, drugs and alcohol. By the other side, I know histories of people who buried treasures, specially to hide it from tax collectors.

I don't think it would be useful.
One of theories says thet the worth of an item is measured by how useful it is for us. The goods are useless while being burried, to give them some wirk you have to digg them up... and you never know when the pirates will appear
And how the hell are you imaging an implementation of this?

Project bury container.
Choose location 1-100: 23
You start burying a container.
...
...
You've stumbled upon another container that was buried before. (ends up on ground or in your inventory, bury project cancelled.)

That is what i imagined, Trezker. A project burying a container, one digging up the container, and 100 possible places to choose from.
Ever heard of 'potential value', Miri? Besides, a burying project would probably just take 2 hours (like burying a body), so the goods are quite accessible. All you have to do is look out foor spectators remembering where you were digging.

I've not played any pirates yet, but I have stumbled upon abandoned places a few times, both by accident and by keeping my ears open.
It's the perfect thing for me, all the loot without any of the guilt.

The problem with containers not being able to hold items is, as far as I know, due to dimensions. Could we just not ditch the dimensions and measure capacity in weight? People could still put infinite notes and clothes in a container just as well as in a room, but the meaning of containers is to create order and even if it was possible to put everything in one container, people would be likely to divide their items into several containers just to make it clear.

...that would be something...
But the container should be made of something durable and quite expensive... iron chest maybe, made of 1000g of iron, holding up to 15 000g ? Something smaller than that huge iron container thing we've got already.
And glass bottle for notes

My favorite character was killed by pirates.
They had kidnapped an ex-commanding officer, so she went on a rescue mission to help try and save him. They killed her when she refused to hand over her weapons and shield.
She was proud and a soldier. There was no way she was gonna hand over those weapons. Better to die with your boots on than go down without a fight. Man, she could get fiesty.
I think I miss playing Cantr a little teensy bit.

You should get back into the game HoH.
One of my characters could be considered a pirate, stole two different rakers, but in his mind justified it. He is retired from the pirating life though.

When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.
