Is this over the same situation you posted about before? Really pisses me off we may lose a good player thanks to a sadist. Hope they're real proud.
Though I still hope you'll reconsider. I can't imagine what it would be like putting up with four RL months of that, but your other characters I'm aware of are so good it would be heartbreaking to lose them.

It is, and it's making me wonder if any of this is really worth it.
I'll most likely not leave. But I may be more distant than I usually am. :s But thank you for your words, Marian. What characters of yours I know are a gems among many. <3

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
This makes me legitimately sad
I usually keep my mouth closed because I have made a promise to myself that I would never be the person who persuades someone to stay, or to make them feel guilty for making changes. I know it's a game... but it's far more than that also. I myself get far too invested emotionally though in my characters, and more than that into their relationships.
I can say that while I don't think you know who I am, I'd miss your character if you were to quit. I already miss them now that they're awake less often. You are an amazing player.. and I'm sure amazing person. I hope things turn up and you'll be able to find some enjoyment in the game again.. for selfish reasons sure, but also for you

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Commence whinge.
So, due to recent in-game circumstances and real-life conundrums, I'll be cutting back a lot. I'm having a rough time dealing with a few real people and I don't need the added stress of dealing with fictional ones, so I'll be culling all but two, perhaps three, of my characters. I'm not ready to pull the plug entirely, and if hope it doesn't come to that, but things kind of suck at the moment.
Whinge over.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Once again going through the "why do I even bother" phase of dealing with recent issues. Moving while dealing with two thieves at the same time didn't help.
Of course getting robbed is so common in cantr it's not even considered an actual social problem. Neither is the fact that it's always a dude in his twenties. No problem there either. And the lack of new characters to actually talk to and have real conversations and goals with? Absolutely no issue at all. Hell I love it when it's quiet......
(Obviously I'm kidding.....).

I've realized I'm having little to no fun playing Cantr for quite some time. Tried taking a break several times and returning from my characters' slumber. But I guess I lost it. RPing is not as fun as it used to be anymore and for some reason every time I create a new character (my two chars that I'm playing are 160+) I just lose interest after a day or two. Guess soon it's gonna be time to press that big green X.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Nope. Not even thinking about it a little.
Sure, it's a pain when 4 characters have PRIORITY ONE events rolling through. But hey, multitasking. Sure, it's a pain when at other times, seems I'm (physically) asleep when things are happening.
But hey, then I get to plan something fun, and start to see it trickle through the world. And that, is what the games about. Think of the maps. Everyone knows the names of some famous cartographer (Hell, treefeather named an entire after himself, and nobody blinks nowadays). Can aim for that sort of heritage and history.
QUitting? Nah. Only quitters quite.
pls can have keys, k thnx.

The fact that you live on the wrong side of the planet is no one's fault but your own.

I've been preparing for concerto competition for the past two weeks and so my Cantriing has been zero and IT HAPPENED AGAIN
I got back from performing just now to find that incriminating message in my mailbox and now I'm pissed at myself and AAAAAAAAAAAAA
Guys, I really should just unsub and be done with it.
I have three tests next week - one on Tuesday, one on Wednesday, and one on Thursday. It was going to be 4 with the fourth one on Friday but my teacher moved it to the week after. I still don't have time for Cantr.

Real Life is more important than Cantr. Go be a cool human being.

Yeah, hate to see anyone leave, but if you haven't played your characters for a long time, are feeling pressured or stressed about not logging in, and not thinking you'll be able to pick them up anytime soon or get back into them when you do....its one of those situation where I guess you might as well, if only for the sake of any friends those chars might have, so they can start to move on with their lives.

Agreed. Life priorities take precedence over a game.
Also, that roommate situation is not cool. You need to take care of yourself, and that includes healthy sleep. Don't ever let anyone guilt you into not taking care of yourself, ever.

This x 1000. It's ridiculous what you're putting up with, you need to either confront that girl or get a different roomate ASAP.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Roommate situation is fine for now. In fact we were offered a chance to detriple this week and we ended up turning it down because the three of us have gotten comfortable where we are. (Also it's a pain moving our crapton of stuff. I know. I did it last year.) ((Also the girl one of us would have been moving in with was super weird.)) And I bought earplugs.
I have a lot of nostalgia and unfinished journal entries tied to these characters and a lot of OOC guilt as well. That's why I just haven't done it yet. It's also probably a really good reason to do it.

Re: Thinking about quitting.....
Over the past few weeks, after much thought, I'm seriously considering what I've not done before and that is quit. I've been a player for god...over 10 years. Whatever is going on with cantr lately, it's starting not to be fun anymore. There's a lot of ooc crap happening, and it's becoming disheartening that I don't even know what to do anymore. I'll give it a few more days or something- but this is how I feel. And I wish I didn't...
