*tries to get his right from anthony*
Not really.
The carrying capacity and number of passengers for a raft I was telling about, as you said, was on another topic (boat cabines). If ya look at the question of agar and the answer by industrialist (also at the beginning of my answer ya didn't delete) you can see I was telling which boat goes on lakes and which on sea's.
*points out his tongue* :P

But that is not important, I am more interested in finding out what changes are that are going to be made with the boats and the introduction of new boats... most of my chars just love boats and that is why more then half my chars have one or more. I guess boats are the easiest and fastest vehicles that can be made.

Could I point out that the longboat has an unrealistic docking time. The main advantage, in real life, of a clinker built shallow hull is the abillity to dock quickly anywhere, enabling raiding parties to come ashore in their main travel boat instead of smaller craft. This also made it hard to defend from longboat attack.

It's been stated several times about a boats docking speed being too slow. As stated before, and now again, there's nothing that can be done.

A boats docking speed is based off of the boats speed itself, since when you initiate the docking procedure, the boat gets closer to shore in the direction of the location. The faster the boat can move there, the faster it will dock. However, the slower the boat can move, the slower it will dock (Obviously).

So, since Longboats aren't the fastest craft of the water, it will take some time to dock. But, I must point out, the longboat always went that speed in the water - you only think the boat is docking very slow, because you can see the percentage progress, but in reality, it's going the exact same speed it's always gone.
