Thank you, Richard ... I completely agree with you (except the trust in me part, of course, on which I won't comment ...)

About the skills system: I really explained several times now how it is going to be implemented ... There will be more stats then just 'strength'; there will be genetically transferred skills, that will be invisible to the player; both genetic skills and experience will influence those skills (that will still be invisible), while only the genetic skills will be genetically transferred. Skills will be randomly assigned initially, and then genetically transferred.

Just in response to the original topic:

I like how weapons are getting harder to make. I really hate when a new char spawns and immediately hunts for steel. Now there will actually be a purpose for a town blacksmith, rather than any moron coming across materials and making weapons or whatever they want. We're finally on the way to a world that encourages specialization. Although this'll make the Cantr City underground black market activity decline... my char got an ugly sabre (he mentions it being unattractive-as compared to the ones made by the smith) and they don't ask so many questions like the legal smithy ;)
