I'm sure he is, I doubt a forum ban can stop a proxy server.

Actually, I think he already created a new forum account.

Impossible, a forum ban blocks your IP address so there's no way he could make one.

Really, how many times must someone break the rules to get banned?

-And no, I didn't have any idea there were volunteers, I really thought they were hired and paid like all of staff.

-And how does one complain without a complaint? How about you start making some sense and then I might bother.

-These rules were probably already thought and spoke about at length and all do exist for good reasons. Also, just because you are not seeing the results doesn't mean they aren't happening. As you said IPs do change. Maybe Rigel isn't as dumb as he plays himself to be...

-As a matter of fact, Wiro, ALL staff are volunteering and get no salary... So, they aren't actually OBLIGATED to do anything if they feel the effort isn't needed. Also try not to forget that we all have our separate lives and actual responsibilities to deal with after the fact. Forgetting this is may be seen as borderline ignorance and self-centered...

-To complain properly, use constructive criticism: Simply stating a problem then a possible solution, period. Don't try and push it just let it flow. At the end of it, ask if anyone has extra input.

Also keep in mind, not everyone has the same opinion for all kinds of reasons. Just because you haven't thought of them doesn't mean they're irrelevant or unimportant.

Now, I've not insulted nor have I put you down here, yet I've explained my own opinion. This is what I think everyone is asking for... I also had to learn how to do this myself not too long ago. When you do, even in everyday life, you will ALWAYS get a more favorable response.

The code or program used to ban someone, bans the comp Ip and not internet Ip. The latter changes and I think the former doesn't... Unless you change the motherboard, cpu, or your whole computer... So, this means a banned player may go to another comp (ie:library, cafe, or a friends house) using a different Email address and still have access.

There is always a loop-hole...

You are both misinformed.

Thank you for that, Wiro. However as it seems there are many different kinds of IP and many ways of changing or hiding them, you might see now how it is he is back and how it isn't that easy to ban someone completely rather than to deter them from playing through disruption of communication to the game and forum...

When a computer is configured to use the same IP address each time it powers up, this is known as a Static IP address.

No...you just misread. Computers have their own independent IP address, separate from the IP address assigned to the modem. The computer IP is pre-determined by the company that manufactures the CPU and it is a static IP, meaning it never changes, whilst the modem has a dynamic IP which changes periodically and is assigned by your ISP. When you ban someone from a forum or website, you block the computer with that specific IP address from entering said site.

Yeah well it would be impossible to ban for example me as I am on the forums with another IP daily. It just changes that often. There's the possibility of banning an IP like...say someone's IP is... 123.123.666, and the 666 changes all the time, then it could just be made to ban 123.123.xxx, but that still doesn't block proxies. But since phpBB sucks I doubt it can do that xD

I don't know exactly how it works but somehow I doubt that someone has every IP associated with their comp to be a mutating one... So perhaps by banning all associated IPs to a comp may discourage someone enough not to bother going around it as it would require a lot of time and effort to track down and change them all. Even though there seems to be only 3 maybe 4 IPs functioning from one comp at any time.

Anyway, he is not going to risk and create an account. His English is quite remarkable, if I can remember it. And if he gets busted here, PD will ban him from the game (breathe before you submit that, Wiro :P ).
All he wants to do is to check if the the chaos he creates in the game has affected us so much that we come here and rant about it. So, basically, we should all just go:
