Much with newspawn thieves is also their spawning location and people there. Some also spawn them for fun and run away and chase can be include many town members for days. That's frustrating part of them... I think biggest chase I have seen included 7 people chasing a guy with motorbike.... Probably silliest thing is that usually chase costs more than what they take

Yeah, it's funny how people do that actually.. But skills and strength aren't everything on this game. A lot to do is also your town and what if you have 8 suckers? You can always think something else
Like be doctor or sail or trade or what ever. I have couple terrible suckers and I don't mind it. Sure expert fighter is cool but you can still have fun with less skilled one

It's kinda funny to see how much value people place in a char's ability to fight (Either through skill or strength), even though fighting isn't actually that prevalent in game...
Personally I never cared much about skills, though it's kinda annoying to have a char that's not good at anything.

My current best fighter is also my most boring character. And one of my current weakest, least skilled character is my wealthiest with the most life experiences. I have thrown away a couple of characters in the past because of a terrible roll but I've since realized stats aren't terribly important. I mean I wouldn't try becoming a pirate or town guard with a weak awkward fighter. But excluding that there just seems to be equal opportunities for characters of all skill levels

I'm the opposite here. My first account had a lot of average strength characters with a smattering of very strong and strong characters. My second account had almost entirely strong/very strong characters, with a handful of very skilled but physically weak characters. This account? Everybody's a weak, talentless hack.

Re: Things that thrill or amuse you about Cantr.
Since many players seem to keep their strongest and best fighters, and those spawnings are based on the chars present in the location where the spawn occurs, I still think that statistically there is a certainty in the trend of more combat proficient spawns.
All statistics have a skew and your particular case may be an anomaly. We are looking at a mean and median here and if Joo were to show up he could explain it far better than I could. Snickie too for that matter. Those darn math people!
I play my chars regardless of their spawn statistics and consider it a challenge in the aspect of roleplaying, I think you do also Wolfsong. cheers!
For some people who have a specific fighting character in mind pre-spawn, they often do not keep the ones that are less combat proficient. I remember Seko making the comment that some spawns never speak, but you can see when you click on them that they have done the self-drag trick and are tired from it. Many of them are unworthy of feeding in the eyes of others, especially town leaders, so they live about 20 days. I see the examples often and this common practice is statistically going to change the mean statistics of the group. Now that the sample is smaller than in past years, I would think the numbers would be more pronounced even.
I compliment those who try to tackle the challenges of a weaker char, but cannot blame those who had a specific niche in mind prespawn.
I guess I would rather interact with a char whom they are enthusiastic about playing.
Anyways, its an interesting trend imo, especially since so few of these characters ever get to swing a sword in anger.
Just pillows, wasters, and toothbrushes.

Intreresting the focus on Fighting as well. My comment, and experiment, was about Workers. That character could have cared less if it twook you three strikes with claymore against a housefly. You were Awkard at the work we was trying to increase (Farming and Tool making), you were out.
Or, woudl have been if he wasn't killed at 27.
I also personally don't pay attention to fighting as much, unless I spawn someone intent on being a fighter or such. I try to have a general "Theme" for my characters, and have 3-5 Ideas before I spawn one, then can pick the one that "matches" their internal stats/skills best.
That's amusing, and moreso when nothing matches up at all, and you just gotta wing it with Personality instead.

Having a character over 200 years old that is still a novice fighter, priceless.

I spawned strong experts with two awkward fighters (one of which has so many expert skills its amazing). The awkward one is a trouble maker he just simply manipulates strong people around him to do his will.

Did you know that...
...twice in Cantr history all dead characters came back to life? But just for a moment.

On a dark, dark island there was a dark, dark coast;
And on the dark, dark coast there was a dark, dark cliff;
And on the dark, dark cliff there was a dark, dark town;
And in the dark, dark town there was a dark, dark building;
And in the dark, dark building there was a dark, dark tomb;
And in the dark, dark tomb there was a.... Ghost?

Omg! Yes Yes Yes! I loled so hard when I saw this dark place! Sadly my character didn't share my excitement. Funny (?) thing is that his life would look totally different now if he hadn't had wandered there. In a way it lead to a murder.

Hah! And this makes me go wondering what you are suspecting me of!

I think I've been in "that" place, too...
Editing to not double post.
I find amazing how different two chars of the same player can be. When you know char A and B are from the same player and one hates yours and the other trust another of yours. How you can hate one of them and love the other. Or hate both and like the player. Or, even worse, like a char with one of yours and hate the same char with another.
It's double nice when I think I'm not the only crazy around...
