Well the hacker seems pathetic enough. So why not stupid enough? :D

I'm guessing he / she is probably a banned player....

Then they would have come after me first, not last, after provocation. My guess is that it's a current/ex player that's trying out his skills in a relatively risk-free environment before going after bigger fish. It's easy enough for banned players to get back in, and a crack addict kept from his crack is going to look for way to get his crack, not destroy the truck carrying it. There was this one guy that kept making accounts and using an exploit to remotely take objects from people (keys, etc), or possibly create them from thin air. Maybe its him. That player was using Cantr as a code playground and not for it's intended purpose.

Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.

Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"

The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

So.... You think Jos would allow an alternate, temporary, clean-slate site to be set up? Then we could get our fix and he could work on the hacker issue in peace. :)

Cantr II is a social simulator. What is not working is due a problem in the society.
Cantr is like Vegas - what happens in the game should be in the game.

Sure. It would be too much work to weed out the problems the hacker created in the database to transfer it, plus it would just be temporary. I think it'd be fun and might create more team work if you start with no machinery, etc. I'd be curious to see how much can be developed in the span of 2-3 weeks it takes for Jos to fix the current database.

The power struggles that'd happen. It'd be all out war. We SO have to do that!
