Don't know if they're already mentioned, but here goes my two cents.
I had two chars spawned in a location where there were deaf-mute chars.
One of those deaf-mute chars was a male, a councilor or senator or other type of leading figure in that location, forgot the exact name or location, but he (the char) writes on a stone tablet.
It's in the little things that I've seen, little gestures and stuff, that count... but even more so, the way this player reminds others that he's deaf-mute - by writing on the stone tablet, cocking or shaking the head, things lie that.
It may have been in the place called Oliviropofrash... olipi...olo.... well, more settled players probably know the place lol... my char was (and still is) considering to become a citizen there, but at this time just went for some exploration and resource-gathering.
The other deaf-mute char, is female... not a leading char, but in that place she is well-known, and an active member of the community.
This character writes in the dirt, doesn't have as much of the thing with gestures going on, but still the player is doing a good job at making it credible.
Don't recall which location this was, or even which of my characters spawned there, but my char left there because there wasn't that much food to be found.
If these two chars are played by the same player, hats off... he/she manages to put enough credibility and variation into the playingstyle of these chars to be considered a great roleplayer.
If it's different players... I wonder what it'd be like if they ended up having some of their chars meet, I guess that's the "celebrity deathmatch"-kinda thing, except it wouldn't neccisarily be a deathmatch... heh...

Alright, personally, I really like the whole town of Olipifirovash... because it's not like really crazy RP stuff, but there are so many active people who have very different personalities... and it's just really great to play there!
So props to All Olipifirovashians!

I'm hoping that was one of mine, any chance it could have been in Siom?

Devil:
Not Siom, I have yet to get a single character to find it's way to Siom (though, looking at some of the maps that several of my chars are carrying around, at least two seem to be in a position where they might get to travel there (will still be a long trip, I think).
But if that description came close enough to what you're doing, to make you ask that, then my hat goes off to you as well.
Also, another fine piece of roleplay has been shown in a spot that only had stone and animals.
I had a char go there because it was on the route to another town, where my char needed to go to do some trading.
This spot with only stone, my char decided to make a little stop there to do some hunting and to make some much-needed repairs, and someone spawned there while my char was doing so.
The player of that char must've been at least reading the forums, or it's one heck of a roleplayer.
This char went into a very detailed description of watching my char do the repairs, and of trying to see what the stone was good for by picking some up and tasting it (this was purely roleplayed, no project was started by that char), and then the newspawned char took off.
Also, Seatown Hills (if I remember correctly) and two of the other places that it connects to, have shown some decent to pretty good RP.
And I have to say, while my char isn't involved in any of the events relating to her, Wasi Caget definitely is an amusing char to watch.
A few of my chars had the pleasure of coming across her, two of my chars got to see different stages of the carrot-tree thing, and a third one travelled from that place to another (Seatown Hills, right? lol), only to see that Wasi and some others also travelled there, on their own.

Yeah... but it might be hard to do if people just log into the game, and close the browser when logging out.
That would only leave in-game to advertise the forum to them, and that would kinda be a big breach, from what I understand.
But perhaps, IC, a work of fiction could be made that doesn't break any rule, and still hints that there might be something for the player to check out.
Hm, come to think of it, that would lead to new players who don't get the hint to ask about it IC, and then they'd be bringing OC stuff into it again.
I'll just let those rusty gears in my head squeek on a bit longer to see if I can come up with something.

HAR! She was always one of my favourite characters in that movie. I can relate to her...Zoot wrote:Y'know, Zoot?
