Heard a song of theirs on triple j, gave the album a listen... Feels surprisingly appropriate to roleplaying in general - maybe better for a MUD but, lacking one, Cantr it is. I guess it sounds like if VNV Nation had been kicked in the balls and given a few guitars to pair with their synth stuff?

Every time Elyos' voice is described over the radio, I feel my skin crawl. It's utterly magical.

You're not the only one. Whoever the player is, they've got a way with words.

When you're listening to a musical soundtrack and you suddenly realise it compares Elyos to the Wizard of Oz. Tornado to Treefeather, day 5000 please *clicks heels together* upgrade roads to yellow brick.

The lyrics in bold sparked my avatar idea.

This song is one that I think is sort of a "battle cry/road trip/go forth and do your thing" song for many of the kinds of characters in Cantr:

It fits many characters in small ways, such as pirates, newspawns eager to make their mark on the world, those shaking up the establishment, those going forth to explore the wild lands, lovers, those affecting cultures (Elyos for example), those trying to fix a broken past, those who are plotting something big, etc.

It briefly touches on so many motivations that I can't help thinking of many of my own characters and so many of yours

Maybe we can make a tally for how many of each of our characters the song relates to

For me, it's 6 out of 8 characters that the song relates to.
