Re: Favorite Cities
I've only ever visited the city with a couple of my characters. I've enjoyed my time there. One character has been greatly influenced by the city!

LOL That town was fun back then and that was an interesting situation. But that town isn't the same anymore unfortunately.

Re: Favorite Cities
I think I dislike most towns. Some tend to be so busy that overnight, my screen gets filled with conversations that have nothing to do with my character there. Yet it makes me feel obliged to read it all.
Midgar is sort of special but I think too busy. Certain characters just can't shut up.
Then I still like Klojt. It's amazing that it manages to be such a great town when their resources are so crappy. It has been a center of trade for probably a hundred years, even though all of that is due to import and processing imported resources. People rarely buy potatoes or stone or asparagus or cod.

I tried to buy potatoes not so long ago, in a place which had them, and there were -none- in stock

Or that they are too busy with other things to harvest them in the first place.

Klojt is such a big town that sometimes we run out of stock for potatoes. People keep eating them.

Re: Favorite Cities
Klojt was always fun. Just a natural way station between the desert, the mountains, and Dory and the peninusla. With a port. One of my first two chars spawned in Klojt around Day 1000. So that was a while ago.
I haven't had anyone in the area since around 70-80 years IC time ago, when we were first improving roads. A lot of sand and shovel work. I'm sure it's changed a lot since then.

Re: Favorite Cities
Klojt is by far my favorite city right now. A thriving economy, always seems to be someone active. I guess a lot of that is due to Coventina, kudos to whoever plays that character and their organization.
I really enjoy Carly and though I don't associate much with here Amy is great.
Blerk Hills is another city I'm really enjoying right now. Good leadership there as well. A lot of players who are in charge of a city could learn a lot from these two cities. Sleepy leaders kill cities imo. Should be an unwritten rule that sleepy leaders be killed

Couldn't agree more. I might not have enough experience to really say this, but I know from my own characters that the worst place to be in is an 'old' city with sleepy leadership. Lots of rules and little access to resources and tools because of them makes for a very difficult start for a newspawn if there's no one awake enough to help you get over the first months. I generally end up getting out as fast as I can.

Re: Favorite Cities
Klojt sold me a car. I base it's awesomeness on that.

Agree with you there, I'm loving it. I'm enjoying Klojt Mountains North than a few of the more populated places my characters are in. It is just such a fun place

Re: Favorite Cities
I think for about 5 cantr years or maybe even more, Klojt is my favorite city. so many different personalities, such interesting stories and such an amazing trade system. I wish all the cities had something like this. Well done to whoever thought of it.

Re: Favorite Cities
No love for Scarab Haunt.
I don't blame people though.
Leader there needs to either step down or die already.
It used to be one of my favorite cities, but not anymore. Not by a long shot, ever since all the fun characters there either moved away or died.

Scarab Haunt is the deadest town I've ever had a character in.
