Hehe. 'T was me who guaranteed your safety.
But then, I've had a hard time killing anyone in this game. Sure, I've killed my share of thieves and criminals, but I've tried to make one of my chars an opportunist criminal, but as soon as my victim would start talking, asking me to stop, I just couldnt do it, both due to IG aswell as OOC reasons. (IG reson would be my char is just too soft and peaceloving, OOC reasons: too much violence and death already and i know how much some ppl invested in their character.I've had my share of massacres and random killing without reason).
As for "those situatios": I've found that death can usually be avoided by being polite when arriving in a new location and by introducing myself. I've seen others been executed shortly after arriving at a certain location or breaking a stupid useless law, like using a firepit or killing an animal. I've done those things too, but I've always been given a warning whereas the others were just killed on the spot. I can even get away with a fair share of criticism, as long as I bring them politely.
So really, no mater what you do, when you introduce yourself and are being polite to the people in charge, they will not see you as criminal #67 to be killed on the spot, but as a "human" being, atleast desseerving a warning.
